It’s a Pleasure to Meet You

Hello all you curious little buns out there! And thank you kindly for stopping by. My name is Courtney, or better known as DreadRabbit. I am simply a writer who has enjoyed both creative writing and gaming for the majority of my life, and therefore created this little corner of the internet for myself to nerd out with others over these hobbies. I intend for this to be a varied and laid back personal blog, so things will probably be a little chaotic for awhile. However, I intend to have fun and hope I can entertain a few people along the way.

I hope that you enjoy your stay! m(_ _)m <3

What kind of content can I expect?

  • Fangirl Musings:

Writings in which I get to be analytical and nerd out with all of you over stuff I love! The primary focus will mostly be on gaming and the gaming industry, however I plan to touch on things like anime and books when the opportunity strikes. These writings will follow along the same line of logic as the video essays of the same name I started on my YouTube channel before having to close it. Industry criticisms, reviews, character analysis, and just overall opinion pieces will fall under this category.

  • Gaming Journals:

These posts are essentially written let’s plays where I document my journeys across various games! A common mainstay shall be the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, and I’m also currently finishing my playthrough of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair that I started on YouTube.

  • Original Works:

My shitpost section, if you will! I am currently in the process of writing a fantasy fiction novel, and I hope that once I have everything a little more polished I can share that novel here and on Wattpad. Of course I get random, smaller ideas all the time, so I may post random shorter pieces or badly drawn comics from time to time. Also don’t expect poetry: I am utter shit at poetry.

  • Community Spotlight:

I have been very fortunate to have ran into many kind people. People kind enough to make me things because they enjoyed what I do. And I cannot even begin to tell you how happy these creations have made me or how grateful I am that someone thought of me and spent the time to do something like that for me. On my YouTube channel this section was squished together with Fangirl Musings, however I’d like to grant it its own section here on the website that way people can have a choice if they interact with such content or not.

So if you have something you’d like to make in response to anything I do and want to share it, please do feel free to contact me! Because I’m always impressed by what everyone else has to share, so I’m happy to show off this stuff!

  • Monthly Recap:

At the end of the month these posts will act as kind of a newsletter. In these posts you’ll find website related updates, plans for future content, or even just some life-related drivel that might not fit into any of the other categories. This is more to keep myself organized, however I hope everyone else finds some use in these posts as well.

Perhaps if there’s enough interest I can look into making these actual newsletters for those interested. But for right now I think a regular post is fine.

  • Dance with Devils translations:

I put this at the bottom of the list because they are my lowest priority right now. Sorry DwD fans! m(_ _)m  I can’t guarantee any deadlines for when these will be posted, however I would at the very least like to finish Rem’s route. Even if it takes me five years or more (>___>).

Miscellaneous: DreadRabbit at a Glance:

  • I graduated from University in 2012, with a bachelor’s degree in Japanese. My minor was in Linguistics. As you can imagine I am a total language nerd. I studied French in high school, but it’s been so long I can’t say I’m competent with it any more.
  • I love to write fantasy fiction, which has heavily influences from my studies of Japanese and Chinese culture as well as my background in German and French folklore. I thoroughly enjoy finding ways to infuse elements of those different literature influences together!
  • David Bowie was the one true Goblin King and no one can tell me otherwise.
